Fuliza charges 2026
Fuliza costs you twice: a one-off access fee when you borrow, then a fee every day until you repay. Here is how much, and a calculator.
- Access fee (1%)
- 10
- Daily fees
- 25
- Excise duty
- 5
- Total cost
- 40
The access fee
1% of the amount you use, taken the moment Fuliza covers a payment.
The daily maintenance fee
Charged at midnight every day, weekends included, for as long as you owe anything. It depends on how much is outstanding:
| Amount (KES) | Per day (KES) |
|---|---|
| 1 – 100 | Free |
| 101 – 500 | 2.50 |
| 501 – 1,000 | 5 |
| 1,001 – 1,500 | 18 |
| 1,501 – 2,500 | 20 |
| 2,501 – 70,000 | 25 |
Excise duty of 20% is added to the daily fee. On KES 3,000 outstanding that is 25 + 5 = KES 30 a day, about KES 900 over a month.
Paying less for Fuliza
- Repay the same day if you can: the daily fee is charged at midnight.
- Small balances cost the least: up to KES 100 has no daily fee.
- Repaying part of the balance can drop you into a cheaper band.
