PesaLens shows you your own data, so it keeps as little as possible.

Your statement

The PDF you upload is read in memory to pull out transactions, then discarded. It is never saved. The password is used only to open the PDF and is never saved or logged.

The transactions are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a random key that is part of your report link. We store only the encrypted data, so it can’t be read without the link. Reports are deleted 24 hours after the first upload, 30 days after a payment, or immediately when you press Delete.

Share images and income summaries

When you make a share image we keep only the numbers on it (your charges total, the number of days, and any extras you ticked), for 180 days. When you open an income summary we keep the figures printed on it, without transactions, for 180 days so that whoever you give it to can verify it. If you send the summary to a lender from PesaLens, we email them those figures and the verification link, nothing else.

Payments

Payments are handled by Paystack. We keep the payment reference, the amount and the email you entered (if any), for receipts and refunds. If you give an email, we send the receipt and report link to it. Your phone number goes to Paystack to send the payment prompt; we don’t store it. We never see your M-PESA PIN or card details.

Counting

We count uploads and payments per day. Those are numbers only, with nothing about you. There are no ads or tracking scripts, and fonts are served from this site.

Your rights

Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019 you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to delete it.
