How to get your M-PESA statement

A full M-PESA statement is a PDF of every transaction in a period you choose, emailed to you. Banks, lenders, landlords and embassies often ask for one. Here’s how to get it.

By USSD (any phone)

1. Dial *334#.
2. Choose My Account, then M-PESA Statement, then Request Statement.
3. Pick the period: last month, last 3 or 6 months, or a custom range.
4. Enter your email address and your M-PESA PIN.

In the M-PESA app or MySafaricom app

1. Open the app and go to Statements (in M-PESA) or M-PESA → My Statements.
2. Choose Full statement, pick the dates and enter your email.

Opening the PDF

The statement arrives by email, usually within a few minutes. The PDF is locked; the password comes in a separate SMS from M-PESA. Some older statements use your ID number.

If it doesn’t arrive

• Check the spam or promotions folder.
• Make sure the email address was typed correctly; request again if not.
• Long periods take longer to generate. Try a shorter period, then add the next one.

What to do with it
